The idea of these themes are to provide structure both to our planning and the public's understanding of this movement. The themes are both a list of ideas which are important focal points to create the world we want to see AND a simple timeline. The calendar framework has passed one small GA, so it will be brought up again at the upcoming GA. Each theme and the month to which we will commit to it will need to pass separately. I would love to see us be able to plan through April so we can do some really cool things. If it does pass and it goes to spokescouncil, I see this timeline also serving as a page online through Techops, a place for Outreach to post flyers, and Education to post links to information about the topic. And all of this in a small, structured area that is accessible even to people unfamiliar with the ideas driving this revolution. We have to crawl before we can walk. Attachments:

We passed a switch of March and September to make it jive more with some statewide GA actions.

I mentioned to Brandy at the GA yesterday that April is Fair Housing Month and HUD does some outreach to raise awareness that month. We might be able to tie something in on that. Recently, the DOJ reached a settlement w/ BofA (Countrywide) for discriminatory lending practices. This could be a topic to work w/ minority groups on as well. Just as an idea.

Don't forget that it will still need to be re-voted on Wednesday.

"When we have restored the money of the Constitution, all other necessary reforms will be possible, and that until that is done there is no reform that can be accomplished... If they dare to come out in the open field and defend the gold standard as a good thing, we will fight them to the uttermost ... We will answer their demand for a gold standard by saying to them, you shall not press down upon the brow of labor this crown of thorns. You shall not crucify mankind upon a cross of gold!" --William Jennings Bryan (Presidential candidate, 1896.) Below is the most important documentary of our time. Watch it. This is the other side of the issue. The banks must be DISMANTLED. We must force the congress to now and forever outlaw usury and declare that the government, and only the government, has the right to produce money and may only be done without borrowing. Unless that happens, we will NEVER be free of the debt system of the banks. This must happen in the U.S. and in every country of the entire world. No more should banks exist in the world. They should be crushed FOREVER. This is NOT an overreaction. This has been an issue that has cropped up repeatedly throughout the history of the U.S. as this documentary shows. If the Occupy movement is to be worth its weight and the voice of our generation to last in this issue, this MUST be the most important issue to the Occupy movement. www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dswkq2E8mswI&h=WAQGcQhN8AQGrwAiySBbwWErbGzGs_iSI7DnvldFdyrQqaw--C.
