I just wanted to get a discussion going about TECHOPS and specifically open the workgroup up to volunteers! Personally, I would love to have more input from others on policy statements and make the appeal to get more qualified than me IT professionals involved to help enable all the potential collaboration!
My thought is that much of the work-group's admin responsibilities can be accomplished by people who have been participating as much as they can, but haven't been able to be present for one reason or another.
I want to get these types of policies started so this and other groups can be as welcoming and as easy to plug into for new people and don't have to rely on the daily input for a small group of individuals. I feel a a bit too over-committed to workgroups needing a lot of writing and statement drafting and I simply have responsibilities that come first.
Thoughts? Volunteers?
